floraLynk - open source hardware for controlled environment agriculture

floraLynk is an open source hardware platform for controlled environment agriculture, the first open hardware project of NIKO Technologies. The floraLynk system is modular and customizable to support a variety of applications including greenhouse farming, aquaponics, hydroponics, vertical farming, indoor gardens and more.

Our mission at floraLynk is to support the development of easy-to-use, open source hardware for controlled environment agriculture. We believe that developing a sustainable food system will require both technological and biological solutions. By providing high quality, affordable hardware for farmers around the globe, we hope to make a small contribution to this effort.

floraLynk is a project that aims to provide open source hardware devices for both amateur and professional use. The main device is called the 'Controller' which has features ranging from automated watering, power supply control, plant monitoring and via-web control. The aim of the project is to lower the entry barrier for people who are interested in gardening or want to explore different ways of growing plants.

MQ-135 Gas Sensor

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is measured with MQ-135 gas sensor. MQ series of gas sensors utilize a small heater inside with an electrochemical sensor. These sensors are sensitive to a range of gasses witch are used at room temperature. MQ-135 is a basic digital/analog, low-cost gas sensor. The module have two output : analog and digital signals, microcontroller/ Arduino can read the sensor output signal and proceed with the data further.
