Air pressure measurement is the process of determining the air pressure, or more correctly, the air density at a point. Air pressure is a force exerted by the weight of air in the atmosphere. The amount of this force depends on the total mass of air present and its vertical distribution.
The common unit for air pressure is pascal (Pa), where 1 Pa = 1 N/m2.
The air that surrounds us is made up of molecules. Each molecule with oxygen and nitrogen are atmospheric gases. The pressure on the earth’s surface is due to the weight of these gases above it. The average temperature at sea level is about 15 degrees Celsius, but the temperature can vary from -30 degrees to 50 degrees Celsius in different parts of the world.
Air pressure has a role in regulating temperatures around the world because it prevents all parts from having excess heat or cold. In addition, air pressure makes sure that our planet isn’t too hot or too cold for life to exist here.
